Ingredients:-
- Spinach finely chopped 200 gms
- Toor Dal 1/2 cup
- 1 medium-size tomato
- Turmeric powder 1/2
teaspoon
- Asafoetida a pinch
- Oil 2 tablespoons
- Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
- Garlic chopped 9-10 cloves
- Green chillies seeded and
chopped 2
- Red Chillies 2
- Onion chopped 1 medium
- Salt to taste
Method
- Cook
Toor dal with salt and turmeric powder till soft.
- Heat
oil (or ghee) in a pan. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, garlic, red chilly,
green chillies and sauté for one minute.
- Add
onion and continue to sauté till onion gets lightly browned.
- Add
tomatoes and a pinch of salt and cook tomatoes until it becomes soft.
- Add
spinach and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add
dal and mix well.
- Add
water and salt as per the taste and requirement.
Serve Dal Palak with rice or chapati and try the recipe and

Tips: - You can use moong dal, chana dal instead of Toor dal.
